This complete gut renovation and above-garage principal suite addition we recently completed in the sought-after Beechwood neighborhood of Waterloo was a remarkable transformation for our young professional clients and their toddler. With the clients embarking on a year-long sabbatical abroad, they entrusted us to lead the project from start to finish. The original home, like many in this sought-after  neighborhood, was compartmentalized, dimly lit, and featured lower ceiling heights than that which is customary in newer builds . Despite the challenges posed by the smaller upper floor footprint, the clients wanted to experience walking into a foyer  that was open to above. insisting on a double-height foyer that added complexity to the design. We were thrilled to deliver a stunning result that not only met their expectations but also enhanced the functionality of their home, making it a welcoming haven upon their return from abroad.
