DESIGN PROCESS REVIEW
As two working professionals, it was imperative we partnered with a team who had proven success in all aspects of the design, decor, and renovation process. We knew we needed someone who would drive us through the journey, educating and advising us throughout. We spoke to a number of firms about our condo renovation, and chose to work with Andrea Hylton Home for five core reasons:
Within Andrea’s 11-step process, having someone who would take us by the hand and walk with us through the process of evolving our home brought us a level of comfort we did not sense we’d receive when speaking to other designers.
When renovating our condo, there are rules and policies we must work within, as set out by our condo corporation. Whereas we were always a bit nervous about what we could and could not do, Andrea leaned into every conversation, and became our voice.
We are visual, tactile people when it comes to the creative process, and need to touch/see/feel before we feel comfortable with change. Andrea recognized this, and provided us space to pause, think, and rethink throughout the design process.
We always knew where we stood in the design process with Andrea. Communication and availability for a conversation was constant, anytime we had a question or an idea.
During the design phase of our renovation there were days it wasn’t clear who was more excited about our condo transformation, Andrea or us. Infectious enthusiasm and breaking down walls (literally and figuratively) was a common theme during our discussions.
